A growing feeling of claustrophobia on a train journey
We sit, we stand, on seat, on ground
A silent hum from all around
But from our lungs there comes no sound
As we take the train away.

A breath, a sigh, a cough, a splutter
A captured glance, a subtle mutter
The carriage starts to wrack and shudder
As we take the train away.

Too hot, too tight, no room to breath
We gather in so we can leave
The floors and walls begin to heave
As we take the train away.

A purr, a rattle, the walls vibrating
The sounds our world is emanating
It drives us mad whilst we are waiting
As we take the train away.

I want to leave, I must get out
I cannot move, I’m held without
I try to stand and shout it out
As the train takes me away.
