I
cherish
my walks
through these
southern woods.
The fragrance of pine
trees overtakes my senses,
and I am lost in the moment. I
feel serenity in the gentle lapping
of the water as it laughs at the stones
in its way. The leaf-carpeted earth beneath
my feet and the autumn-painted canopy above
remind me of God's love of beauty. His presence
fills my soul, and I rejoice at the bounty I see around me.
He must surely enjoy the gurgling of the brook and the swirling
of scents from the bouquets of wildflowers that are strewn among the tree
trunks.
What a
measure
of His
love, that
He would
share this
beauty
with us!
