He loved her but she would not leave her husband
                                          BROKEN PROMISE

You broke your promise
Then when confronted
You made another promise
When do your lies end
Where is my truth
Why am I crying
Why can't you be honest
Your lies they never mend
Lying on some strange bed
In some cheap motel room
I watch you smoke your cigarettes
Blow smoke rings into the air
Sitting on the bed behind me
You love to braid my hair
Watching our reflections
In the mirror I just sit and stare
My body is so tan
Yours is ghostly white
You pull me down below your waist
The love I thought was mine I taste

You broke your promise
I know you'll never leave him
You're always making promises
The lies they never end
Where is my truth
Where is my answer
Why can't you be honest
The truth you always bend
Together in some meadow
Alone deep into the night
I watch you slowly dance around
Undressing yourself in a pirouette
Laying in the tall grass behind me
The blades from the dew are soaking wet
Looking up into the moon
We can see our silhouette
My muscles are ripping
Your eyes are silent
You pull me down below your waist
The love I though was mine I taste
