A poem about my novel. In epilogue and express the basic concept.
Sleep a dream that is not a dream
As we breathe in the warm hot air
Shadows lurk in the corners
Our nightmares are obscured by our screams

Our reality is cursed and becomes the nightmare we see
As we breathe in the icy mist
Sunlight fades across the land
To bring it back, hope is the key

Blood becomes our water, soon quenches our thirst
As we breathe in poison
Darkness eclipses all that is left
We must kill before they kill first
