Just a simple poem about fear with a tad bit of humor.
Fear

The widening of your pupils,

The massive intake of light

Thoughts become a shattered mirror

As your body prepares for flight

Everything you knew now doesn’t seem to matter,

While you question if they survive or if they die

Teeth begin to chatter,

And your eyes well up to cry

Hiding behind the safety of your hands,

You try to block the gruesome images now burned within your eyelids,

But screams still resonate through your mind, and conceive their own demands

Imagination wildly runs away with no difference of how much you bid

You knew this was a bad idea,

You told them this was dumb

But they had to go and rent a

Scary movie about a zombie nun
