Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
With eyes staring down at me,
My mother tried to see
If I were innocent this time
Or the culprit of the crime.

“How could this be?
It was the last cookie!”
As my brother cries,
I just roll my eyes.

That I should steal the cookie?
The idea was bogus to me.
How could someone so sweet
Steal such a fantastic treat?

Narrowing her eyes at me,
My mother waited patiently,
And the look in my eyes
Was my ultimate demise.
