Sometimes it helps to re-focus on your real purpose in this life.
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. ~Psalm 75:6 (KJV Bible)
- - - - - - - - -

My purpose is not
to be recognized,
noticed, promoted by man.

My purpose is
to serve Him who sits on the throne, and
He alone is worthy of all my honor,
glory and praise.

My purpose is
more important than
servitude to mere men.

My purpose will be
recognized for eternity because
I am an advocate, ambassador,
minister of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And my purpose is
solely, wholly to serve Him.

This piece was inspired after suffering a devastating blow to ego, self-esteem and pride, accompanied by dark depression, dreaming and desiring to die and watch my life's blood drain from my body. It took a while to work through the turmoil of injustice and to remember and refocus on my purpose. As the scriptures say Pride goeth before a fall. Pride was there, and I fell; but then I got back up, shook myself off and remembered my purpose.
