An old poem of mine, about old pain. Feedback welcome.
You're not here to see the pain
You leave behind every time you leave,
The loneliness that consumes me.
Tears of acid that burn down my cheeks
And the people I call friends
Stand there laughing,
Not understanding what I feel,
And watching
While my insides are spilling everywhere.
I open my mouth to scream,
but no sound emerges.
I'm crying in silence,
but you don't know.
I'm dying in silence,
but you don't know.
