The Worm is a rhyming poem for children.
The Worm

I grabbed an apple from a tree.
It looked so green and juicy to me.
But just as I was going to bite,
A little worm came into sight.

He wiggled from a tiny hole,
Though he was moving pretty slow.
As I watched I began to feel
That he had almost been my meal.

That’s when I lost my appetite,
And couldn’t eat a thing all night.
What happened to the worm you ask?
I left him in the sun to bask.
