            Litter Begone!

Two coffee cups, a printed tag,
Some soda cans, a dirty rag,
Cigarette butts, old chewing gum,
Seeing that litter makes one numb.

In the country, on the highway,
In the city, on the driveway,
Near the ocean, along the beach,
Litter in places out of reach.

Poisons animals, ugly sights,
Kills plant life, ruins city sites,
Pollutes the waters, kills the fish,
A quick solution is the wish.

Educate people, start a trend,
Adopt a site, recruit a friend,
Pick up litter, volunteer time,
Set an example and STOP the CRIME!
