You know that chilling feeling you get when you wake in the middle of the night?
He looms precariously above your head,
swinging in the eerie silence.
He floats upon the air, carried on your breaths
back
and forth
back
and forth...

His sharp pincers open;
a sharp, cold whisper
drifts toward you, your eyelids slowly lift
open
and shut
open
and shut...

"I love the confession game,
tell me all your sins.
I'll make all your dreams come true."
You breathe
in
and out
in
and out...

Your eyes scan the ceiling:
you see his sinewy frame
writhing, his legs groping
up
and down
up
and down...

"Don't let this body deceive you,
I'm more powerful than you could imagine."
You shake your head, as your eyes widen
back
and forth
back
and forth...

He drops to your chest
with the softest grace.
You feel his many legs walking
left
and right
left
and right...

He stops by your ear
a whisper fills your mind:
"All your hopes and dreams
hopes
and dreams
hopes
and dreams..."

"No," your chest lurches with the tension
as his fangs pierce your neck.
You gasp for breath, poison fills your veins
as you bleed
and die
bleed
and die...

If a spider could smile,
he surely did, as he wheezed a soft, harsh laugh.
"Where is the real boundary
between heaven
and hell
heaven
and hell...?"
