Being yourself is being your best.
Out in the ocean, where waters are deep, lives Lobert the lobster.
Lobert was hungry one morning and went to search for food.
So he hid in a little opening in a rock and waited.
He waited and waited and waited and waited.
Suddenly a green fish swam up. Lobert knew this was his chance.
He ate the fish and went looking around.
Other lobsters were laughing and saying, “Look at the green lobster.”
Lobert looked around, but he didn't see a green lobster.
Then Lobert happened to look at his claws, he saw they were green.
He began to realize they were talking about him. He thought to himself, “Why am I green?”
As he sadly wandered off, he became hungry again.
He found a little opening in a rock and hid and waited. A blue fish swam up, and he ate it.
He went down to the rocks where his friends were.
They told him he needed to hang out with the lobsters around the reef.
“But the ones around the reef were blue” he said
“Like you”, they said. He looked at his claws and noticed they were blue.
As Lobert was going to the reef, he felt hungry again.
Again he found a little opening in a rock and hid and waited.
When a black and white striped fish swam up, he ate it.
Then he finished his journey to the reef.
The blue lobsters yelled, “Here comes the prisoner.”
Lobert looked at his claws to see they were black and white striped.
He decided that he needed to find himself.
He thought, “The last fish was black and white striped and now I am black and white striped.”
Then he thought, “Before that he was blue just after he had eaten a blue fish.”
Then he realized after he ate the green, fish he had turned green.
“That is it”, he said. “I need to eat a red fish!”
So off he went looking for some red fish.
He looked high. He looked low.
Lobert spotted a school of fish.
He looked and said excitedly, “I found some red fish!
Again he hid in a little opening he found in a rock and waited.
A red fish swam up and he gobbled it up then looked at his claws.
They were red! He was so happy to be himself again.
He decided never to eat anything but red fish because it is best to be yourself.
