This was written in 6th grade and entered into a writing fair by my teacher. May 4th 1995
Having a day as a dog is very strange, you scratch or itch all day. When I became a dog I was without fleas; an indoor Terrier. I got scolded at, spanked, and boy, was it horrible! I don't ever want to be a dog again. Now I know how to treat my dog.

When I was a dog, I got fed three times a day. My stomach felt like it was about to burst. I'm lucky my dog only gets fed twice a day. I even had to take a flea-bath every day. Luckily, my dog gets a bath once a week in the summer, and whenever it is warm in the winter.

Being a dog means having someone to take care of you, and sometimes it can be fun.
