Based on a song about abuse.
When innocence is lost,
you can't figure the cost,
you just ask why.
Why do they cry
in the lonely dark night,
with no one to make it right.

Dear God help these angels,
down deep where their soul dwells.
Please Lord help them see,
they didn't create the misery
that wraps them in fear and shame.
Let them feel love just the same.

I pray scars to heal
and a smile to feel,
that they can love again,
not be tortured when
they close their eyes to sleep.
Never again let them weep.

Dear God, keep an eye on little angels
hurt by another's dark and evil spells.
Let them know they were blameless,
when someone chose to transgress
the purity that should never be lost.
Please let them stop paying this cost.

When innocence is taken,
they feel sad and foresaken.
Help tears to dry
so they no longer cry
in the lonely dark night,
with no one to make it right.

song: Little Angels by Rhonda Vincent and The Rage
PROMPTS:

One summer day, a stranger walked up to me.
Now my heart must grow beyond the shame.
Dear God, keep an eye on little angels.
I got called into something, not knowing right from wrong.
God help me forgive this man.
