The first of many poems that i had written around the age of 13
It costs dearly to hold on to the past
But is free to let go
Pain from abandonment is the spell they cast
From your sorrow they feed, don't let it show

It's pain that's slow to kill but comes so fast
And brings hatred from the soul below
As the pain shall grow, the sorrow shall flow
Afraid to tell his mother how he felt

Always wishing her to magically show
Waiting day by day as his heart shall melt
Hating the very thing she did eight years ago
But keeps it sealed in his heart wrapped tightly with a belt

Until the day he was given away he could bare no more
It was as though his anger was a burning flair
As he lived his life with hatred for those who act as his parents for his stay
With fire in his eyes and a coat of sorrow in which he wore

Conflict and strife, with years of pain
With a fleece of guilt and shame
All my life jokes and pranks pour out like rain
Dreaming of fame so someone will look up to my name

Never to use my daddy's name in vein
And living his motto's and saying's just the same
Wishing for love from another
Until the day i found my home

When i got three sisters and a brother
I no longer felt non-existent like a gnome
Because of a loving father and mother
Where i no longer had to roam

For some love and care and no strife
I found my place in this world for life
