a silly little poem

Revealed

Roses, red covered in snow

Violets, blue refuse to show

Bright is the winter sun

Melting and showing just one

A watchful eye catches it

By the River the rose is lit

A smile comes along

The winter has revealed just one

It is not pretty at all

But still it’s better than Fall

When it began to shrivel

The rose was so little

Now, what does the eye see?

Something that can’t be

Bright does the eye get

When a violet joins it
