An older poem of mine.
This is the story of a girl with a broken heart.
Remember her and the love you abused?
As echoes of failure still ring in my ears,
I didn't know I was being used.

You were the perfect fantasy,
and I saw a world of love in your eyes.
You're the broken promise, my naive mistake,
Satan's laugh so well disguised.

It's the perfect scheme, come on, confess.
You've been contemplating this from the start.
So tell me, are you happy now?
That you've brutally murdered my heart.

Not a day goes by I don't think of you.
Our "undying flame" is now but an ember.
The new me says, "I can be free."
The old me.... will always remember.
