Sitting with a love that you can't love.
With each passing of the tide,
I can see you by my side,
Laughing, kissing, don't ask why.

But there you are, you sit alone.
Too far away, no one to hold.
I wish I could call you my own.

And so we let the day drag by
And awkwardly sit, side by side.
Never question, nor ask why.
