Is someone watching
In a simple place that's

halfway to the Sun.

lives a very old man

Known only as magician.

His table is bare

except for a crystal ball.

Through this looking glass,

the wizard awaits his call.

In a corner leans his staff,

twisted, cracked and worn.

It's been on many journeys

seen many dreams forlorn.

The magician listens closely

and watches for any tears.

Especially from the children

who need not live with fears.

Their days will all be happy.

despair is not the rule

The wizard wants to show them

that love need not be cruel.

The small ones must be rescued

no thought about the cost.

They need to see  the beauty

of a life that is not lost

If you believe  this story

that a wizard will make things right

Turn away from abuse and suffering

don't make it your fight.
