55 word story for a contest
  Away with last week’s daisies, fresh water in the vase, this week yellow and red roses, her favourites, her birthday. The grass is soft under knee but unkempt; my scissors work on the thick green blades, all the trimmings into a bag.  A neighbouring cross casts a shadow.
