MJ: Michael Jackson, R.I.P.   Almost the same age as he was, I grew up hearing the albums of Michael Jackson during my teens and youth. Back in India, Jackson's music ("Western Music", as it is called) became very popular as soon as it hit the sound waves over radio and TV. During my college days, back in the seventies, the kind of dance MJ performed was considered "evil" and "sinful" because of the suggestive hip and groin movements that were a hallmark of his dance. Even a youngster like me felt "overpowered" by his fantastic breakdance, his hair-style, his dance, oh, yes, his dance, and finally, what really mattered: his music. I remember hearing songs from his best-selling albums like Thriller, Blood on the Dance Floor, Beat it! and many more again and again, even while studying for my final medical examinations! He had a full life, and he did have problems with his plastic surgeries, the allegations of pedophilia, and what not, but in the end, we will all remember him for his amazing stage performances and his music. May his soul rest in Eternal Peace. Kindly enter your tributes to this phenomenon in this forum and let us know what you think of him. Author's Note: The first review I get has blasted MJ and his pedophilic habit in the following words (Gave me 2 stars): Sorry, at best he was a has been. I can't support a pedophile scumbag like him, and a majority of Americans agree with me! However sir, you are entitled to your opinion, you have a good day sir, and god bless. I wrote this review because I'm tired of all the crude about this child molester suddenly becoming a saint! All the talent and money in the world does not excuse somebody from harming a child! -mingrocks Personally, I had already made clear my stand on this issue of pedophilia, but again, I draw attention to it. This is so as to present a balanced picture of the celebrity. The 2 stars are probably a reflection of the reviewer's thoughts about MJ, and not about the item, but that's okay.
