A reflection of time and changes, and with a purpose.
Deep within me there is a place, a place of love, warmth, dreams.  In this place are my most dearest of memories, and of the people who have taught me that family is a huge blessing---my Dad, and my Mom.  Family is a blessing to be cherished, protected, held ever so close.  From this very special place, I draw my writing, sharing moments and times like strands of gold that will touch the heart and live in the thoughts of the reader, not being soon forgotten.  Everyone needs love, wants love, the love that cares and wants to make a positive difference...love that is always there, the love of family, or a cherished friend.
Family has always been of great importance to me, as is the air we breathe providing the breath we take.  A special gift is what family has always been to me like an expensive gift in a gold wrapped box, wearing a huge bow with a tag that simply reads, "PRECIOUS".
In writing I can again visit the place I have always called 'home' and I can bring a friend.
In my life, I have lived the benefits of close family ties, but I have also sadly stood watching its demise with tears in my eyes.  For the problems that now exist in this world, that have hurt the family, also, have attacked mine.
I have said again and again that I was raised to live in a world that no longer exists.  A world that was filled with love, family ties, morals.  A world where Trust could live and move freely, where people genuinely cared and endeavored to make a difference in the lives of others around them.  It was a cozy world much like a big cuddly blanket where you felt safe and sound and warm...a place where I ran, played and grew.
Over time, however, thangs changed, the rules changed  and along with the values changing, the family unit has largely fallen apart---a price too great has been paid.
Never have I adjusted to this world, and I will never be a part of its system, though I live in it and breathe its very air every day.  Instead, I stand ready with pen in hand, determined to be a reminder and an influence of how it once was, and how it can be again---one reader at a time.
