A childless couple decide to adopt - Story in 55 words
“Surgery cannot cure your uterus. You can never conceive dear,” the doctor shook his gray head at my wife, who started sobbing.

A few days later we adopted a daughter. My wife was delighted.

So was I. I had bribed her doctor to lie.

She would never know that it was I who was sterile.
