Violently Violet Scene One- It’s been a While
Music Starts in Slow
(It’s been a While- stained)

High school Lunchroom all the students are eating talking.
Slow motion across the room where a girl is entering.
She’s dressed in red.

Girl:
It’s been a while
Since I could hold my head up high
And it’s been a while since I first saw you
And it’s been a while since I could stand on my own 2 feet again
And it’s been a while since I could call you

The students turn to look at her. They all whisper and snicker.

Girl:
And Everything I can remember…

Flashes of red splatter screen.

Girl:
As F’d up as it may seem
The consequences that are rendered
I’ve stretched myself past my means

Pan Camera to show boy in center of girls.
He’s they’re total attention.

Girl:
And it’s been a while since I could say I wasn’t addicted
And it’s been a while since I could say I loved myself as well

The rest of the teenagers freeze as she twirls across the room and lands on the boys table.

Girl:
And it’s bee a while since I could say I’ve gone and F’d things up the way I do.

She Grabs the boys head and makes him stare at her.

Girl (in his ear):
It’s been a while but all that
(Crowd jumps in: Shhh.)
Girl:
Seems to disappear When I’m with you.


Chorus Hits

She Pulls him up and shoves him down.
She walks him across the room in his chair.
She Laughs and draws X’s on his eyes.

Girl:
Why Must I feel this way?
Just make it all go away.
Just One more peaceful day.

She sits in his lap.
Rocking back and forth.

Girl:
And it’s been a while since I could see myself straight
And it’s been a while since I’ve seen candles dance across your face
And it’s been a while since but I still can remember
JUST THE WAY YOU TASTE!

She Jumps off.
CHORUS

Back to her walking in.
All the color drains from her dress.


Girl:
I cannot blame this on my father he did the best he could for me.
It’s been a while since I could hold my head up high.

Close Up on Lips
Girl:
And it’s been a while since I’ve said I’m

Resume Lunchroom action.

Girl:
I’m sorry.

Lola:
I just want the world to feel this way.



Violently Violet Scene Two- Disturbance
NO Music

Action resumes in lunchroom
Lola/Girl walks in past the boy who spots her and tries to catch her hand

Boy:
Look this is going to seem funny but do I know you?

Lola:
No I don’t think so, big school though.

Boy:
No I’m sure that I’ve seen you.
I think I would remember a girl with such sadness in her eyes.


He takes Lola’s hand in his and stands up.
The lights swerve theater style onto the couple.
She is shaking.

Lola (Stepping Back):
I’m convinced that you didn’t.

Boy (Stepping Forwards):
Your lying to me, tell me your name!
I can’t forget your face.
I never forget-

Lola drops his hand and throws her hands over her head.
Camera Pans to show their shadows resembling a crow and a prince.

Lola (Shaking Violently):
You don’t know me. Not as I once was.

Boy:
What we’re where you once?

Lola:
What I am now.

Boy:
What are you?

Lola:
A Monster.
Lola runs away from him.
Camera introduces the people behind the boy.

Girls:
Who Was She?

Boy:
A broken person.
