A lover for too long.
She was useful, once.
An anchor, best way to describe her.
She stopped my ship from that horrible crash upon the shore.
But now,
she holds me in the past, even if she doesn't mean to.
And so,
I can never catch back up to the present.
Always a step behind.
But in all honesty, it was really my fault.
The Anchor was too heavy for my ship, and I couldn't get it back in.
You can't blame something for being what it is.
And it's not just me with the problem either.
The anchor is tired with its situation.
Nothing I can really do to help it.

Tried to sink my own ship.
So we could go down together..
But we're still here.
The two of us,
me locked in the past,
and Her,
unable to to fulfill her purpose in life.

It's a damn shame.
