poem that wrote a year and half ago after breaking out of an intense depression
The Silver Lining

Ripples crash
          against waves.
A bleak darkness
at the center of a daily war.
Fear walks
          heavy through my spirit.
Strife and tension ignite
          my hopes and dreams.
This blazing fire suffocates
          and holds captive!

A breaking point
          ruptures...

Peace comes
          as a clearing between clouds.
One by one, the clearing
            manifests itself.
Despite malicious fumes
            roaming within,
Intoxicating joy overflows
          my spirit and mind.
Calm, fragrant healing bathes:
          inside and out.
One by one, the clearing uncovers
          this silver lining:

Pure, uncontaminated relief, revealed
          through hope and love.
An attack
          on doubt and despair.
Continuous outpouring of love, spoken
          as unburdened ripples
          harmoniously connecting.
Refuge
        from any storm!
