Humility does not mean allowing oneself to be dictated to by fools and bullies.
I WON’T BE DICTATED TO

Who shall judge that I am wrong
And demand apology?
Not the next door boy who does
Bully me all day long.

Who shall tell me not to sin
And always shun violence?
Not the one who drinks all day
And has a gun for a toy.

Who shall find fault with my pen
And condemn what I may write?
Not the one who just cannot
Distinguish poem from prose!

Retrospection is my wont
And humble though I may be,
I won’t be dictated to
By a bully or a fool.
