A 'parenting' poem written when my kids were little.
From the oldest to the youngest,
I love my children dear.
They all have two ears apiece,
So why is it they can't hear?
I talk; I plead; I shout.
I holler 'clean your ears out!'
They turn to me and say,"here's the key...
"All you really have to say, daddy, is please!"
