A poem about when two people find each other
A crowded room with familiar faces,
A girl enters confident and gracious,
I like many dream of her embraces,
And my thoughts turn salacious,
Before I agnise she has departed,
And now I am broken hearted.

I deny my feelings even to god above,
But I still see us together,
With each vision I am more in love,
And equally more conflicted than ever,
My feelings are now more acute,
for we are to each other forbidden fruit.

We are both committed to others,
And deny our secret desires,
This is not the case with our partners,
Who soon will turn out to be liars,
We become closer through shared pain,
Watching as our faked relationships wane.

Through hard times our relationship thrives,
And a close friendship soon flowers,
Is this enough to achieve what I strive,
Someone to help share the hours,
Our hands touch and it feels like forever,
And now we are finally together.
