FAMILY, REALITY, TRYING TO BELIEVE
Two years, it doesn’t seem that long ago, and yet at the same time; it seems as if it has been forever.

We did however; get to see each other on holidays and special occasions with the family, but that time always went by way too quickly

My sister had been traveling around and living in so many different states for years,
I wondered if we would never get the chance to actually go places and do things with each other again. Fore over the past 20 years or so, it seemed only to extend to the occasional short visit.

But now, she was finally home again to stay, with a brand new home nearby to my parents, sister and myself

I now thought we would finally have the opportunity to do all the things that we had talked about for years over the phone.

Eating popcorn and watching movies, playing with our beautiful nieces, going to the park, going out to dinner and so many, many things that we had not done since we were young.

I was looking forward to many times together, catching up and visiting each other’s home’s, fore we were friends as well as sisters.

We have so much in common; same sense of humor, same view on things and opinions as well as the total opposite views as well. It was priceless, so much the same and yet so different.

Sisters, there really is no definition for that word. It is a word for that which entails and encompasses so many feelings and thoughts and inexplicable emotions.

I remember her laughter, her smile.
The way her eyes sparkled and her teeth we so white and bright that they almost blinded you when she spoke.
Dark black curly, wavy hair, always pinned up on her head in some special way which made her face stand out even more beautifully than it already was.

Her voice, her chatter and her intelligent wit, thinking of it still sends chills over my entire body. We could and did talk on the phone for hours, and I would be doubled over with laughter from one of her stories.

She could answer any question presented to her, on any subject imaginable. She was The Trivia Queen; just present her with a brainteaser and she could answer it exactly in about three minutes!

Always ready for a party, or ready to have fun with friends. Ruby Tuesday’s mini burgers, Papa John’s pizza, Krispy Crème donuts, Ukrops cookies, London Broil, Crème Brule…….
These were just a few of her favorite things.
Pulp Fiction, About Schmidt, all reality shows, and mystery shows, American Idol amongst many more were on her treasured list of must see movies and TV.

It is funny some of the little things that are remembered.
Favorite bracelets, earrings and rings.
Certain clothing she knew she looked stunning in.

She always had to sleep in the pitch black dark, with a sound machine going to block out any type of annoying commotion.

Her favorite holiday was Christmas; fore she loved to decorate to the hilt.
Glamorous wreaths and garlands made with golden colors.
Christmas trees in assorted sizes, throughout her home making every room as festive as possible.
She even had reindeer and a Santa sitting on her front porch awaiting all the joys of Christmas to come and be greeted.

We had all planned that year; Christmas for our family was to be celebrated at her house.
She was ecstatic and already formulating ideas for the event in the month of August.

Unfortunately this was never to be.
None of the things I had dreamed of and wished for and planned were to come true.
They all ended on that September day, two years ago.

I do not believe that I will ever be able to grasp onto the fact that my sister is no longer here with me in body.
I do love to believe that she is always with me in spirit and in my heart and soul where she will live forever.

We will never know what really happened on that September night that tore our family apart forever.

We never received a real, honest and truthful answer.
No definite clues were ever found.
A lot of suspicions formed their own opinions in all of our brains.
No truth was ever dug up or discovered.

That mystery will continue to haunt me for the rest of my days
