an entry for "The Lab"
here is a poem i did for "The Lab"
================================
Raven's Awakening

I awake, not sure of who I am,
not human, not alive, yet still I can,
move, and see, and hear nature all around.
then it all comes back, starting with the sound.

I was driving along, not paying attention,
when I hear a screech; did i mention
I was going 20+, not thinking a bit,
and so it came that I got hit.

I remember the smell of gasoline burning,
I couldn't help it, my head wasn't turning,
the last thing I remember was an enormous blast.
and my vision receding increasingly fast.

now I awake, on top of mine own grave
I am a raven now, I am now a slave
to God and his divine providence
I awake and fly away with my new sense

I am now the raven, the harbringer of life
I deal no longer with the matters of human strife
I fly away, leaving all human worries behind,
nature and I, our spirits intertwined.
