What lurks in the dark?
What lies in the dark remains to be seen.
This terrifying night is known as Halloween.
Black clouds and evil pass by a full moon.
Creatures will be coming out very soon.

Children racing door to door to get a treat,
never knowing what dangers they might meet.
Evil watches them closely as they shriek with delight,
ghostly howling to give them a fright.

Afraid of the dark now, the children flee,
no longer caring about getting candy.
Frightened by the haunting, evil images they see,
that dance around them so wickedly.

Sharp talons snake out to grab a child,
the face of the creature demonic and wild.
Gone is the treater, never again to be seen.
Beware of the dark beasts that come on Halloween!
