A new spoken word piece
Parenthetical nihilism:
every word
every action
holds a subtext;
peeling back
my skin
to find
what lies beneath
this shell
my hell
I swell
(and shiver)
someone deliver
my broken body -
and mind,
can't find
the end
I pretend
it's all been
okay.
But I just delay
the EXPLOSION.
Light,
Life,
Soul,
all bursting forth
from my depths
and flitting about
like tiny sprites
(all of them silent
and luminescent
as specters
in the fog)
floating
just
outside
my vision...
sitting,
peripherally
drifting
JUST
AS
I
GLIMPSE THEM!
I feel my heart race
out of place
can't keep pace
with the empty space
where my soul waits
articulates
the evolution
REVOLUTION
where the body
(meets the spirit,)
dies again!
