Who's that in my picture? (entry for 10/13/09 Writer's Cramp).
Picture This

Using focus and zoom
I click 'round my room
thinking, "What a nice group these will make."
But what a surprise,
when in 'Preview' my eyes
behold pictures that I did not take!

Near a bed there's a lad
and, beside him, his dad
keeping watch o'er a lady quite ill.
In another - a girl
with a single blonde curl
captured giving her brother a pill.

With a stool as my perch
the Wide Web I did search,
seeking answers to calm my hysteria.
And at last I found out
I'd been walking about
where a mother had died of malaria.

I've since moved from that room,
as I can't shake the gloom
that at times becomes thick and oppressive.
I'd feel likely the same,
so the shades I don't blame
if about that room they're quite possessive.
