Apparently, not all Halloween costumes are created equal. (Writer's Cramp, 10/16 prompt)
Abe 'n Jack

"I'm telling you, honey," Ted repeated, "we're gonna get calls from all the neighbors. I wouldn't be surprised, if some of the folks from a couple blocks away follow him back here, just to yell at us.  It's disrespectful and it looks disgusting."

Mary tut-tutted.  "Now, Ted," she said, trying to mollify him somewhat, "it's not just a costume; it's educational.  Kids these days just don't understand how things like this really looked.  All those video games, no matter how many dark red pixels get used up, just don't convey the same feeling of horror I see every day at work."

"Whatever!" he huffed.  "But, can we at least lose the sign? I mean, really: 'Abe's and Jack's head looked just like this!'"

"As you wish, dear," Mary replied, deferring to her husband in this small matter.  "I still think it gives fair warning, though.  If you're going to lift the sheet on a morgue specimen, you should be prepared for anything."
