One of the greatest injustices possible
Injustice

Here I sit on death row
Without much time left to go
The jury got the verdict wrong,
Now my life won’t last long

I did not kill my wife and kid
It pains me that they think I did
Now the killer is running free
He should be here instead of me

They didn’t accept my last appeal
So now I eat my final meal
They strap me down into a chair
I take my final breaths of air

I didn’t commit the crime that day
Are the final words I have to say
I feel the needle pierce my skin
The justice system fails again
