A poem about our national anthem.
Take Off Your Hat

I was at a game the other day
When the song began to play
I removed my hat, stood up straight
And remembered why my country’s great

It brought a tear to my eye
Because so many had to die
People fought for what is right
So the flag could fly that night

I got a feeling deep inside
A  feeling of American pride
It’s more to me than just a song
It’s an anthem for the proud and strong

So when you hear the music start
Place your hand on your heart
Stand up straight, do not sag
Take off your hat and face the flag
