Are we fools finding true truth where none exist?
-I was once told: "reality is what we make it" If that is so, why do we always fight over what is real are we fools finding true truth where none exist?-
Split Ch2: The first Song of madness

"Your...me?" Axel said, his eyes scanning over this negative of himself, "How could you be me?"

"Well," The Negative trailed off his voice seeming to start to mock Axel's own. "I am more your power, instincts if you will-" The negative of Axel spoke calmer almost analyzing with each word, like he was thinking of what he should say, cutting off as the air around them both waved. "Right, right I know, I'm wasting time." The negative said as he looked over into the darkness, balls of white smoke coming from a hidden beast was faintly seen.

"Who are you talking to?" Axel said, his voice seeming to be far off, like he was just hearing a recording of his voice and not saying it.

"Now, I bet your wondering," The negative said, his eyes returning to Axel, seeming to have ignored what he had said, "Why you are here, and not on the ground crying like a baby worried about a probability long dead family."

Axel just glanced down thinking to himself, 'bastard...' The negative laughed saying,

"Now woh there, not like I did it myself...Then again these?" The negative opened his arms, pointing to dark forms just out at the fringe of the darkness, their glowing red eyes hanging in the air. "That's a different story and now I know you can't handle them yourself, not like you are anyway." Smoke hissed up to Axels left, a faint familiar echo ran in his ears. Axel looked to his left, a wall of red circles seeming to be pushing at the brim, little claws of mist reaching out like they were blocked by a cage.

"What are those things?" Axel said, dropping to his knees as the sound grew louder, memories of what that sound can do flashing to his mind.

"Nothing but insects(1) to the power we have, but then again, as you are now, one would do the trick." The negative smiled as he spoke walking closer to Axel, only glancing back weakly to see as the darkness was following him, this area of his mind was falling apart. "I can help you though, or do you think you can handle them yourself?"

"ahh" Axel muttered as a faint yell, his ears were hurting, yet he could not look away, hanging onto this strangers words while looking in fear at the eyes staring down at him from behind that darkness.

"But for me to do that I have to ask something of you, when you need my help, I need your body." He said it calmly seeming to stare at Axel's fearful eyes, he sighed waving his hand as he saw Axel holding his ears over the echo. "You can hear it," The negative claps his hand, a burst of wind, pushing the air around him in a berserk blast, knocking Axel on his side, the sound of the echo cutting off. "I will say this again, I will take care of your fears...your enemy's, all I ask is that when the need arises, that I can use your body." The negative said, dropping to one knee as if bowing as he spoke.

"Why would you need my body?" Axel said, pushing himself up as he spoke.

"Without it I am only a voice in your mind." The negative glanced over seeming to speak with a pang of desperation, "This world, your mind has been falling apart...please, agree." Axel took a steep back, looking to see the smoke of darkness was gone, the air of life on the other side had faded to be replaced by true nothing. He felt like if he had stuck a hand into it, he would fade into the nothing, like true oblivion.

"Why do I need to accept anything-" Axel was cut off as he was pulled the nothingness of oblivion pulled in more of the land bellow him, he saw as the ash grey dirt sunk in and cracked as everything was taken from it, and then nothing.

"There is little time for me to explain in! It is me or oblivion!" The negative yelled his voice seeming urgent. The negative sighed as he pulled him up, letting Axle see that they were only on a small plot of land, everything around them seeming to be falling into this nothing.

"...I don't know what to say... and I might regret this...but it seems like I have no choice...deal." Axel said, closing his eyes expecting some form of pain.

"Good....very well my king," The negative smiled as he turned around stopping with his hand almost poking the nothingness. "By the way, call me Abaddon(2), later on you might fine a use for knowing it." A flash of light engulfed him as he started to feel like darkness was covering him again.
Wake up my king... Axel jerked up from the ground coughing up dirt as he looked around.

"What was that-" Axel muttered, his words caught as he looked into the burning pit, "...those- those, those things were what was in that world."

Now its time for me to wake up...now...Wake me up!

Axel looked around him, "Who said that?" He said faintly as he stood up.

Say my name, or we will both end our journey a little early!

Axel looked around him as he started to see a wall of red, their eager eyes seeming to all point to him. "Abaddon?" Air erupted around Axel, a soft calming buzzing sensation covering his body as he felt a new controller enter his body.

"Ahh, this feels great." Said a voice...the words coming from Axels own lips. "Now this is going to feel a little weird at first but don't try taking back control in the middle of the fight okay?" The voice said, it was Abaddon in him. "Now..time to get rid of these insects." Abaddon yawned cracking his fingers, or Axels fingers. A electric waved throughout the body and making the captive mind, Axel, feel a eager burst. Like he could not wait for what Abaddon was going to do.
"Now to bust on the weaklings." Abaddon cracked his neck, smiling as sharpened fangs started to replace Axels own, his fingers following as they grew longer, his nails turning into clawed fingers. "Not that I expected that my first fight would be very strong...but this would be a good warm up at the least." Abaddon lifted his hand up, as if waving, whispering softly to the point Axel, the mind no longer using the body, could only hear the word, "Electric" Air burst as a wave of blue blasted into the wall, leaving hissing flesh to fall into the burning lava.

The Monsters yelled as they jumped at Abaddon, only to hit air as he jumped into the pit of lava itself, Axel mentally yelling as he tried to stop it, only feeling a faint hiss as the lava hit his feet, the shoes already melted off him.
"If you would have not tried to pull back, you would not have almost gotten third degree burn." Abaddon muttered as his hands lowered to his sides. Abaddon sighed as he looked at the wall of darkness,
"Your to weak for me to bother to kill all of you off, why don't you all just leave insects?" Abaddon looked up for a second seeming to be savoring the sun. Abaddon smiled as he jumped forward his claws eagerly ripping at the flesh of these dark monsters. He laughed as he stood holding the last by its wispy neck, eagerly squishing it. "Worthless." A crack resounded as the things body grew limp and Abaddon dropped it into the burning pit.

"Axel!" A girls voice yelled from the woods, seeming to repeat over and over again.

"Looks like my time is over, oh well it was fun, remember to call me for next time....king..." Axel lost sight of what happened, time seemed to lapse as he was pushing himself off the ground, his eyes running over the pit, faint sight of burning lumps a mark of what had happened to the monsters.

"Axel! Where are you!?" She stumbled out of the grass breathing hard as she saw him, it was Maria. "What is that..." Maria said looking out at the pit of lava, seeming to both be in fear and amazement.

"That..was where I lived." Axel said dropping on his back, sighing as he stared up at the sky, the sun faintly glowing behind thick grey clouds.

"I-I'm sorry." She said walking over, she walked over to him, offering her hand, her eyes lingering as they ran over Axel's own eyes, seeming to be entranced in the darkness of them. "But we may want to leave, that is if you want to leave." She said seeming to drop her eyes as Axel seemed to make no move to take her help to get up or move on his own.

"I'm alone..." Axel muttered Maria sat down beside him, looking up at the sky trying to follow what he was looking at.

"You don't know if anyone was in there."

"If their not dead then what?" Axel said his voice seeming to become like a bad microphone, cracking as he spoke, "If their not dead, then what!?" Axel seemed to yell at thin air, seeming to not expect a answer.

Note: they are ordered as 1, 2, 3 and so on in the order of when they were shown in the story. This is so that you may learn a little about the terms I us, understand that sometimes one character may only use that term, so I will a great deal of the time show the real term for that object or creature as to not cause any confusion.

1. Insects,
Appearance: Most noticeable traits is their glowing read eyes and almost jet black body. Normally they are the size of a large child yet their clawed hands make them worth more then nascence’s.

Their real name is the Senka, they are a dark and spiteful race born from the darker energies of the earth, they may be the weakest of the races born of this energy yet they are commonly in large numbers enough at times to be able to challenge a small army. Yet because of their almost instinctive behavior they are not the best with team work, more open to the idea of fighting over a meal then sharing.

2.ABADDŌN (Ἀβαδδών): Greek name derived from Hebrew abaddown, meaning "destruction, ruination." In the New Testament bible, this is the name of the place of destruction. And it is a name given to the angel of the bottomless pit, the Destroyer Apollyōn. Abaddon in this story is a Melanchthon meaning black earth, a conciseness born of oblivion, they are set into the mind of one they find worthy of offering their power to, most calling the owner of the body Konige, or King.
