Dreamt these words in my sleep. Night fear fades to hopful light is how I woud describe it
I hear my heavy breathing, I smell the muddy dirt and the pine trees that I know are around me, but I only see darkness. There is something in the forest. My friend is hidden in the trees, pleading for my help. I can't go in and help the one friend that really needs me. I'm too afraid. I do it anyway. Like a narrator in a movie, my thoughts leave my body as I move into the darkness.

As I walk toward the darkness I realize that my phobias are not the things I really fear most, are not my greatest fears. The depths of the darkest night turns to light. The bugs that feed off of dying flesh are just another way of life.

And so my strength grows loud and all my fears are all but muted.

And then I am consumed in the darkness of the trees. I wake up from a blast of light stabbing my eyes.
