Was I insane when I wrote this? Its about being unique. Not your everyday cattle.
There is a universal truth in all mankind. It runs very deep and separates us all on a very basic level. Sadly this universal truth is very hard to see clearly and is often wrong on first educated guess. There are wolves and there are sheep. A wolf can be alone or in a very loyal pack. Wolves will remember and miss you when you’re gone. Sheep tend to herd together. It does not matter if you are compatible with other sheep as long as you accept the basic rule of the herd. Do not stray too far from the herd or you may get left behind. A wolf will bite to kill, to teach, to even show affection from time to time. Duplicity is only used for a greater goal. Not as a shield to hide a cowardly desire. Despite all this the most dangerous thing to a wolf is a herd of sheep. Sheep will kill a wolf but not for a need but for a basic fear that they do not understand. Sadly when a sheep kills the herd will stomp on the wolf until so badly mangled the wolf must die. There is no honor in this death. Sometimes a wolf may find him or herself born among the herd. This is most dangerous for a sheep’s wool will cover over any truth if pressed in tightly enough. A wolf will become surrounded and smothered by the herd until wolf cannot be told from sheep. That is until the wolf's nature withers and dies. When sheep kill there is no quick brutal mercy. There is only mindless illogical hate. Sheep have lost their true shepherds. And true shepherds have been replaced by other pretentious sheep. The blind may lead the blind but when the unseeing blot out the truth of the sun everyone is lost. Sometimes a sheep wanders about alone and feels alienated from the herd, or becomes enchanted by the sound of the wolves. So the sheep pretends to be a wolf. This is also a wolf’s greatest enemy. One of two things will happen here. The sheep’s true nature will overcome the sound of the wolf. Which while enchanting is still frightening. And the sheep will slowly lead the wolf back to the herd where the wolf will become smothered by the sheep’s wool and lies. Or the sheep will at some point go against the nature of the wolves and the universal truths and this will also lead to heart ache and a very sad and howling wolf. Sometimes even a wolf will try to wear the sheep’s clothing and wool. And sometimes too late does the wolf understand that it cannot survive on the sheep's meager simple nourishment.
