They say every lie holds one great truth, can you find truth in this?
There was once a kind village in the middle of the forest. The place was happy and full of smiles. But at night the people lose their joy, fear to replace it, for howling is heard in the trees. The village of farms unable to fight, there was only one arrow and a weak bow left in this peaceful village. They were not the richest but one day they called for a hunter to solve their fear, they wanted the wolves to leave.

They found a hunter. The man was once a great magician, the only person they could afford. As the hunter walked into the trees the howls grew softer, as he grew closer the howls grew sadder. When he finally reached the wolves he found it was only one a single wolf, alone and sad. He said to the wolf,
"Why do you howl, great wolf?" For this wolf was a tall as a man if not for his sad eyes the hunter would have shot his arrow before getting near the wolf.

The wolf did not know what he said but just looked up at the man,, all his words were nothing he could understand, he was alone, and sad. The hunter patted the wolfs head, the wolf moved back but stopped when he heard the words in his head
"I only wish to talk to you." The wolf stopped, it had understood. He asked again,
"Why do you howl?" The wolf replied in his mind,
"I am alone and the village fears me." The hunter smiled and said,
"Do you know why?" The wolf did not, only looking down. So the hunter went on saying,
"It is because they fear what you are." The wolf laid down saying in his mind,
"Then I will forever be alone."

The hunter patted the wolf on the head and said,
"I can offer you a day in the village." The wolf jumped up and started throwing things like,
"Will you!" and "Please!" and so on that it sounded like many people talking at once. The hunter patted the wolf on the head and said,
"I can and will, but it will only last a day, there are two rules to this, one you must be back before night, two you can not talk, for you can only bark and such you are still a wolf. For that is the way things are meant to be." The hunter turned the wolf into a joyful child, he pointed the way and waited for the wolf to return.

The day went by and the wolf even without being able to speak gained the trust of the village for the smile never left his face. On the hour of his return he went the the forest, as he went to sleep a wolf again the he did not howl that night and his dreams were happy. The hunter was happy of this and went back to the the village. The village sang praise of the hunter killing the wolfs, he never told them he did but the simple fact that the howls were not heard made them think so. A mid day the hunter heard word of a wolf wondering into the village, it with the bow and arrow was shot and killed, the shooter said he saw a tear on the wolfs face, reminding him of the man he had seen the day before.

For that is the way things are meant to be.......
