This poem was written after I had experienced a particularly difficult period in mu life.
LOUDLY

I walk softly, quietly
when I want to run
I whisper
when I want to shout
I breathe huge gulps of air
to stop the tears
from flowing down my pallid cheeks
I say yes
when I want to say no
I stay when I want to leave
I stare entranced into the the night
when all I want is to sleep
No more wanting!!
I will say no LOUDLY
in a voice that leaves no doubt
I will leave when I want
I will sleep and will dream
I will dream of running in a field of flowers
barefoot
with winged faeries
flying protectively around me
as I gather huge bouquets
of sweet smelling flowers
I will want no more
