Everything has a place and some places you should, never, ever go. Word Count 433.
Sent Through the mail:

These were my thoughts as I arrived here:

I clung to the cloak draped around my shoulders. A thought occurred to me that it was almost so cold that it could pierce your very flesh and leave you pleading with Mother Nature to have mercy. I could not believe myself that I asked for the assignment. Now I enjoy all the glory of the frozen north: polar bears, penguins and the deadly howling creature.

One month after my arrival:

A howling creature lurking just beyond my visions grasp, one I never knew existed. I read all the scientific journals and never came across anything that made me put any meaning to the creature that could kill you without you ever knowing you were dying. Who, ever truly thinks of dying?

Six months of being here:

I write this journal as a warning to anyone who might consider coming here. There were ten in our group not including the dogs for the sleds. Of that group I am the only one still alive, I have even outlived the dogs. The Wind, is alive. I know you perhaps think this cold and solitude has gone to my brain. It has not.
The deal that allows me to leave is to warn you. Do not to ever bring another human life here. I am sure you're asking why? Some may even be considering a trip to look for treasure you're sure I have hidden away.

Journal entry onsite:

This is the rest of the six month entry:

The top was all that you received in the mail. The rest is for the eyes of those who chose NOT to heed the Warning and now you are reading the rest of the journal.

There is NO treasure here anywhere. You know the verse in the bible there is a time and a place for everything. It did not lie. The howling creature that is waiting outside that will kill you is The Wind.
I am sure you are laughing. DON’T, you will only make it angry. Yes, THE WIND, it is a fierce creature here, this is its hunting grounds. It will give you only one warning if you wish to survive do not go out when you here it howl.

The others told me they heard singing, I believe it might have been a sirens call, as they never did return.
Now, I go as the music I hear I cannot ignore. My advice to you, prepare your farewell.
There is a place for everything, and this place belongs to THE WIND.
