I was feeling really petty and uppity when I wrote this. Maybe a little hurt.
I don't like much, but I know I like you.

And what's worse is I know you like me, too.

When I look in the mirror I see myself.

Nothing more or northing less.

When I look at you I see a different reflection of me.

Some kind of beauty that escapes what I see. Like the way spring flowers float down a tree.

When I look at you poetry feels my heart.

When you look at me you think I'm smart.

Your strange that way I assume.

But, how can I presume to assume what you think.

I thought I knew you better and that stinks.

Now you're not mines, maybe you never were.

But, I thought you had enough sense than to belong to her.

What you see in her, trust me, at least the last ten men saw.

So, don't be stunned and drop your jaw.

It's common knowledge to the core.

That you hooked up with a whore.

Now every thought I have of you is spoiled.

Cause all my memories she has soiled.

This discretion can't be repaired.

My heart simply couldn't be spared

In your sick sordid love affair.

What's this I hear relationsip getting rocky.

Surprise, that's not really shocking!

Try to get me to forgive and forget I won't.

Try to start a conversation with me, please just don't.

The thought of your touch use to make me yearn on the inside.

The thought of her touching you makes my stomach churn on the inside.

Dare I dream one day to be in her shoes

You've definitely been dropping all the clues.

Will your touch make me ponder?

Did you touch her there, too.  I wonder?

The situation would make me insane.

Yet, I think I hope in vain.

To glance upon your smiling face.

Because good and bad memories I can't erase.

The fact  that you've touched my soul.

Alas, my tongue, my heart I will hold.

Because what was can be no more.

So, I beseech you, I implore.

Smile in passing and keep the conversation lite.

Wave when glancing yeah that's right.

Whatever the ruse you have to use.

Please don't stop being my muse.
