George Maris is an author and creator of online publishing, books on demand. When George Maris was interested in publishing his work in early 2000, he was approached by many publishers who wanted to charge exuberant amounts of money. He wanted to start something that other authors needed, a place to write and publish their work. Most of his work can be viewed on line or in stores. A Tree and Its Fruit, a book about Symbolism. Believe, The Children Of The Garden are only a few books that he has published. He grew up in The Bronx and moved to Brooklyn NewYork, where he attended City University of New York, Brooklyn College. He has since lived in York PA, where he has been involved with the Democratic Committee, He helped launch many political careers. George Maris lived in the Frick Mansion located at 100 W. Springettsbury Ave The mansion was built by architect Charles Dempwolf. It is 10.000 squire feet and George Maris restored it to the original details, including the furniture. The home is Georgian Revival and boasts Corinthian columns in the main entrance. His collection of antiques include Maxwell Parrish Prints, American Toys, Mission furniture and Pottery from around the country, Rosewood, grand piano's adorn the reception hall, Charles Frick was a composer of The Fairies Of The codorus.
