Banter of differences, yet similarities, of snowboarders and skiers.
Snowboarders vs Skiers

I rip and shred, you slide and glide,

My lunch is in my pocket, while you go inside,

I wear gear with patterns, it’s so bright it’s blinding,

You like to blend in - plain colours with fur lining,

You ski in great arcs, of which I cannot predict,

I carve with swift motions, sliding on my slick,

My territory is off piste, at home in the trees,

You stick to the corduroy, those stripes keep you pleased.

I slide with abandon, I am a spreading fire,

You glide in control, no need is too dire.

But no matter our differences,

We have common ground,

We both love the white powder

And the carving, swooshing sounds,

We both look to the heavens

And pray for champagne powder snow,

So dry, light and plentiful,

To fall before we should go

To the white Mecca, we hold in high esteem -

Our passion, our motivator -

The snow air we both wish to breathe.
