Researching family trees
[Introduction]
The question is; why do some people like me enjoy finding out peoples genealogy? What is the mystery that people like to go to cemeteries, State archives, and other dusty places just to find names, dates and who these people are and where did they come from?
Good question! Well for one thing, it is a lot of history in the making, believe it or not.
Our ancestors came from somewhere. A lot of the research is fun, and a lot of times theres a mystery to solve.

some of the info is missing, not easy to find. the people that we research, just not able to find until just one thing happens, a name change, or a misspelled name. And of course, the people were not where they were supposed to be!

Some of our great great grand parents came form another country, which many times there is no listing of them as the names we know them.. But on the right track, their names were spelled differently.

They came to America and names were spelled , maybe an added letter or maybe letter taken away. For instance. Gilbert/Gibbs or other spellings.

there are so many mysteries to be solved of our ancestors.
Ever hear of the Orphan train? did any of your ancestors travel that train? good to know, anyone of your ancestors go to Australia early 1800's? that was a penal colony for England. What about the rough and ready cowboys, the outlaws, gunfighters, saloon girls, and more colorful characters.
Yes genealogy is an interesting way to find out about our history!
