A poem about inner strugles.
The skies are blue and there’s not a cloud in the sky,
the soldier to my left smiles as he passes by.

The soldiers over there just gossip away,
Most likely talking about whoever winked at them today.

They over yonder throw the football to each other,
The colonel just simply talks to his mother.

The lieutenant lies asleep on the ground,
after he puts the lethal gun down.

The S.O.S. signs are put up as we eat,
without a thought in the world that we’ll be beat.

There’s nothing to do and no orders today,
so under the sun we peacefully lay.

This tranquility is nice, but yet nobody sees,
This brutal war that is raging inside of me.
