A poem about experiencing love.
I want to learn about you like a child;
the way they smile and giggle; how they’re so beguiled.
Like a child I want to depend on you,
and to be amazed by your every beautiful hue.

I want to smile with you like a child,
About crazy dreams imaginative and wild.
Like a child I want to feel your soft skin,
I want to not know that it’s a sin.

I want to take things slow like a child,
And with every kiss be compiled.
Like a child I want to know its okay,
I need you to tell me that I can’t sway.

Please don’t make me cry like a child
over petty things that are very mild.
And like a child, don’t keep me ignorant as can be,
Talk about what’s going on between you and me!

Don’t try to appease me like a child;
The only thing you’ll do is leave me riled.
And like a child don’t let me look into your deep eyes,
because you’ll just stifle my wants and cries.

Let’s keep this innocent like a child,
Just keep it clean, manicured, and very well filed.
Like a child, just please, leave me alone,
Without you, I can finally succeed on my own.
