My first attempt at a Triolet.
My mind's in a deadly haze,
mesmerized by your hypnotic stare,
while trapped by your evil ways.
My mind's in a deadly haze,
while the minutes turn into days,
as you lure me to your snare.
My mind's in a deadly haze,
mesmerized by your hypnotic stare.

Note: I found out about this form (Triolet) in the latest issue of Writer's Digest (March/April 2010). This is my first attempt at this form. I wrote this thinking about two of the characters in my novel, All Roads Lead to Deacon, Mississippi. I thought that maybe this was how Cydia Webster felt about her husband Lucifer when she first met him because of the adulterious relationship she decided to persue with him. You know his first wife, Marion, might have even felt the same way when she met him. Before she really knew who and what he was.
